A couple of days ago I got some hotwheels, three of them with various errors and it occurred to me that it would be good to give tips so you know what to look for and show you some examples of what I have.

Errors in collecting are topics of discussion, some see them as a simply defective piece and others see them as unique pieces, I am one of the latter, so if any collector tells you that it is not worth it or there are even those who want to say that They are worth less than those without errors, they are only a percentage of collectors, as I mentioned there are some who do value them and can pay well for them.

Now let's start with some examples and explanations:

- # LACK OF PAINT OR VERY WEAK PAINT:
let's say this error is not very rare, and some do not even consider it an error, but the more visible the lack of paint is, the more visible it will be, therefore, the better the piece of error (the example I show you is a vw toon where on the front it has a very weak paint where you can see the base metal)

- # TAMPO (paint pattern) MISALIGNED:

This is an error that, like the previous case, can be a better piece if it is more visible. It is common to get some designs that are a little out of place, but the further away from the place where it should be, the more unusual it will be (an example is this merc where the red tampo of the fire is very far from where it should be)

- # PAINT STAINS:

At least at the moment I have only been able to see one in person and it is the one I show you here, this error consists of exactly what the name indicates, paint stains that should not be on the model and depending on the model it will be a better piece, I was lucky with this sixth element (I apologize for the photo, the stain can barely be seen since the bubble on the blister distorts the image) this one has a long line across the entire front of the Lamborghini, almost looking like I ran over a car. someone haha, this model would be considered a great collector's item so it seems that a traffic accident occurred apart from the fact that the car model is highly sought after

- # MOLD ERRORS (DAMAGE OR VARIETIES):

In this case they are details directly on the car, that is, some problem occurred in the mold causing damage to the piece. In the case of the one I show you, it is a highly sought-after piece in 2024, the transformers bumblebee that has a kind of crack on the front. It seems that there is a percentage of VW Beetles that have this detail so it could be a variety but even so they are not seen much

![IMG_20241214_155735.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/damoclesart/23xVPNeAZSfofQKiWJqzEKAjSL9w3s83JpRkxEtHszPHnKaLFyZzyXHpP4snJWEDodwPK.jpg)

- # WRONG PARTS:

For me the best mistake, it goes unnoticed, I even found out when I got home and saw this hw treasure hunt with a chassis of the wrong year, these mistakes are very good, maybe they are not unique and maybe a small batch came out with this detail In this case I spent two days researching and there is none on the internet with this detail, this happens when they use wrong molds in the process creating incorrect pieces either in color, the same mold could be from another year, in this case the car must have to have a 2024 chassis and they put one from 2022 which has very different details

![IMG_20241214_155927.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/damoclesart/23wqpesPDJe8o7HFSdgPnFjTfTB5cdD8f9nH3SkDSUnzoo8HKyyHcKTxMyDj7MToWqEDU.jpg)

And well, friends, there are many more types of errors but since they are the ones I have on hand, I wanted to give details with the examples that I have and not taken from the Internet, I repeat that some give a lot of value and others don't, so if you get some and tell them That they are not worth it are a percentage of collectors who say so, others do give them value, it is just a matter of not investing a lot and so if they sell they make a good profit, I hope these data are useful to you
