<div class="text-justify">Welcome once again to my blog. This week the second article with @splinterlands content corresponds to the Battle Mage Secrets challenge. This week's proposal comes with the <b>Briar Patch battle condition</b> which, as you can imagine, is going to penalise melee attacking in particular. Join me for a new analysis which, this time, is going to be learning from a defeat. Let's begin.</div>

<div class="text-justify">As I told you in the introduction, the consequence of Briar Patch's appearance is a penalty to melee attack cards. <b>The Briar Patch battle condition has the same consequences and playability as the Thorns ability,</b> meaning that any melee attack we make will punish us with two points of damage for the card that makes this attack. Basically, we already know that we have to play the game by removing this type of card from the equation. Ranged attack and magic attack will be the only viable options under this battle condition.</div>

> <div class="text-justify">Como te cuento en la introducción, la consecuencia de la aparición de Briar Patch es una penalización a las cartas con ataque cuerpo a cuerpo. <b>Y es que la condición de batalla Briar Patch tiene las mismas consecuencias y jugabilidad que la habilidad Thorns.</b> Es decir, podemos contar que cualquier ataque cuerpo a cuerpo que hagamos nos va a castigar con dos puntos de daño para la carta que realice este ataque. Basicamente ya sabemos que debemos jugar eliminando de la ecuación este tipo de cartas. Ataque a distancia y ataque mágico serán las únicas opciones viables bajo esta condición de batalla.</div>

<div class="text-justify">The flaw in my strategy is that my opponent is going to choose a full ranged attack deck that will allow me almost no chance of victory. I was expecting a majority of cards with magic attack, but this time my opponent was smarter than I was and planned the battle better.</div>
