When I was little, in my primary school days, all I thought of was getting into secondary school, then it seem that was the height of every primary school achievement. It would also show that I have grown up, for I remember me saying to myself **"I would no longer carry lunch box to school"**, it was a big deal then. Eventually I got into a secondary school, but only to realize that it doesn't stop there, my educational life had just begun. I still have tthe university to think of. Six years in secondary school was like a life time. But I passed and finally I'm in the University. It didn't take me long to realize that a lot lies outside the four walls of a university. What had seem like my future while in secondary school, has suddenly become my present and yet the future still lies ahead. If I had dropped out along the line, the future would have still become a reality, but I won't be here. 
>**The present** is the **future** you once thought of **yesterday**, and **tomorrow** which is the future that you are thinking about now, will soon be the present. So the question is what are you doing with your present.

Many are with visions of great achievements in the future, but they fail to understand that without adequate planning and preparation in the present, the future will give no positive result. What you do and even what you do not do, affects your future. The present gives birth to the future and the more we approach the present, the more we aim for a brighter future. Since the present has a great effect on the future, you can consciously create your future.  Have a set of goals that you want to achieve in a period of time, probably a year or less, then make plans that will daily get you closer to that goal. Remember that the future is now, in John Legend's word ***the future started yesterday, we are already late***. So never joke with whatever actions you take to achieve that goal, because the future will eventually present something to you. Either the result of your daily actions or the consequences of your negligence.
