Last January Facebook announced its ban on all products related to cryptocurrencies, however after an analysis by the quality team of Facebook ads have decided to accept cryptocurrency ads again but with restrictions.

Below we provide the official press release by Facebook, please bear in mind that, this can affect the price positively from the 26th of this month, we will create an article separately to cover the investment theme based on this news.

In January, a new policy was announced to "ban ads that promote products and services that are frequently associated with deceptive or fraudulent promotional practices, such as binary options, initial offer currencies (ICOs) and cryptocurrencies." At that time, he made it clear that "this policy is intentionally broad as we work to better detect misleading and deceptive advertising practices ... We will review this policy and how we apply it as our signals improve."

In recent months, we have analyzed the best way to refine this policy: allow some ads and, at the same time, work to ensure they are safe. Therefore, as of June 26, we will update our policy to allow ads that promote cryptocurrencies and related content from pre-approved advertisers. But we will continue to ban ads that promote binary options and initial offers of currencies (ICOs).

Advertisers who wish to post ads for cryptocurrency products and services must submit a request to help us evaluate their eligibility - including any permits they have obtained, whether they are traded in a public securities market, and other relevant public records in their business. Given these restrictions, not everyone who wants to advertise can do so. But we will listen to the comments, we will see how well this policy works and we will continue studying this technology so that, if necessary, we can review it over time.

It is important that we continue to help prevent or eliminate deceptive advertising for these products and services. Therefore, continue to report content that violates our advertising policies by selecting "ad" in the upper right corner of any ad.
