It's only been 8 months since I replaced the clutch cable, and it broke again. This time, it happened to my dad. I lent him the car to run some errands, and he called me to say that on his way home, the clutch pedal went straight to the floor. I asked him if he could make it back, and what he did was start it in second gear. You can imagine how complicated it is to drive like that, but little by little, dodging everything he could, he made it home.

>Solo han pasado 8 meses desde que cambien la guaya del embrague otra vez se rompió. En esta ocasión le ocurrió a mi papá, le preste el carro para que hiciera una diligencias y me llamó para decirme que camino a casa el pedal del embrague se fue a fondo. Le pregunte si podia llegar, y lo que hizo fue encenderlo en la segunda velocidad, se podrán imaginar lo complicado que es manejar de esa manera, pero poco a poco esquivando todo lo que pudo llego a casa.

What happened this time? The truth is, this cable gave me several problems. I had to adjust it multiple times. I don't know if it was stretching, which I don't think it was, but what I am sure of is that it wasn't coming loose. I put a lock nut on it, and every time I checked it, it was in the same position. It finally ended up breaking at the plastic anchor that goes to the pedal.

La verdad que esta guaya me dio varios problemas, tuve que ajustarla varias veces, no se si se estiraba, cosa que no creo, pero lo que sí estoy seguro es que no se desajustaba, le puse contratuerca y siempre que la revisaba estaba en la misma posición. Finalmente terminó partiéndose en anclaje plastico que va al pedal.

I went out early to look for a new one. The prices range between $10 and $15, the original is $25, but for this type of part, that's not so important, because in the past, the originals have broken on me too. I remembered that someone once showed me one with a metal anchor, so this time I decided to try this model to see how it goes.
>Salí temprano a buscar una nueva, los precios oscilan entre $10 y $15, original $25, pero en este tipo de repuesto eso no es tan importante, porque en el pasado las originales se me han partido también. Recordé que una vez me mostraron una con el anclaje metalico, asi que esta vez decidí probar con este modelo a ver como me va.

Changing the cable on this car is a nightmare. I have to remove the battery base, the air filter, the hoses that go to the intake, loosen the ABS module, and finally move the wiring harness because the connector is exactly under the ABS module and doesn't let me get my hand in. I have to do it from below; I look like a contortionist.
>Cambiar la guaya de este carro es una pesadilla, tengo que quitar la base de la batería, el filtro de aire, las mangueras que van hacia la admisión, desajustar el modulo del ABS y por último mover el ramal de cables porque exactamente el conector está debajo del modulo del ABS y no me deja meter la mano, debo hacerlo desde abajo, parezco un contorsionista.

Placing the anchor on the inside is no easier. For a guy like me, with my size, getting under the dashboard is almost impossible. Normally, I ask someone thin for help, but this time I didn't have anyone, not even to take a picture of how I did it. You would have laughed a lot. I practically had to park the car against the wall, using my feet to help me get more head-down and be able to fit inside.
>Colocar el anclaje en la parte interna no se queda atrás, para un tipo como yo de mi talla, meterme debajo del tablero es casi que imposible, normalmente pido ayuda a alguien delgado, pero esta vez no tenía quién, ni para que me tomara una foto de como lo hice, se hubieran reído mucho, prácticamente tuve que pegar el carro a la pared, con los pies ayudarme hasta estar más inclinado de cabeza y poder quedar adentro.

In the end, I managed it after several hours, because loosening the cable screws that are attached to the firewall is also a challenge. I don't have a 10mm wrench long enough to reach the nuts, so I have to use extensions to reach them, which slows down the process of loosening and tightening, but with patience, I managed it, and everything is working again.
>Al final lo logre luego de varias horas, porque también desajustar los tornillos de la guaya que se sujetan al cortafuegos es todo un desafío, no tengo una llave 10mm lo suficientemente larga para llegar a las tuercas, entonces debo colocar suplementos para llegar, lo que hace más lento el proceso de desajustar y ajustar, pero con paciencia lo logre y todo quedó operativo de nuevo.
