Here is a quick tutorial on how to transfer your SBD that you been collecting and turn it to steem,  once it is at steem it's your choice if you wish to power up or not.

In the past , I made some losses I think as I used their part to do the conversation, without realizing that steemit has internal capability to do it for you.  I'm such an idiot.  So,  please do be me.  Here is how you do it. 


Back to the tutorial,  how to convert your sbd to steem. All the best.

First get to your wallet,  then scroll down to where STEEM DOLLAR is stated like so,  then click on the down error next to it,  and a box will appear with the word "MARKET" on it.  Click Market

Once to you are on market page,  look for that word "Available" in green coloured font.  Click on it and it will sort it out automatically.

Then obviously it's time to click OK.  LOL

Then you got to sign in.

Then you wait momentarily for these confirmation to show up .... Don't go to other pages...  Just stay there till it show up.

Once it's confirm,  go back to your wallet,  check out the steem dollar ,it becomes zero,  and steem will add up.  You will notice it on your history too that all is done.  

That's it.  Like a rockstar..  Pretty easy isn't it.  Hope this helps.
