Is Greed Good Or Bad?
<div class="text-justify">

We usually refer to greed as something bad, as a negative aspect that we can have to human beings, the desire to accumulate goods, wealth and even power no matter what you do to get them tend to be seen as something bad. Certainly, if you need to kill someone or something in order to get wealth, it is, at least from my point of view, but can greed be used in a positive way?

From a psychological and logical point of view, greed is the reason why we human beings have the motivation to make, improve and achieve our goals, therefore, without it, communities would be a disaster, there would be no progress because no one would have the desire to have something more, to be better than others, to have more wealth, fame and power. We human beings have the capacity to project ourselves into the future, which is why greed is more developed in our species and taking into account that our society is materialistic and the results we can observe because of it, we can say that greed is not a bad thing.

We can debate morality, but all the goods you have, products you consume and services you use come from the minds and greed of the people who created them, logically, those people wanted to make a lot of money in exchange for those creations and probably did, but in turn, they benefited you and society because of the good or service they created. Greed is then a fuel for our motivation and our desire to progress to meet our future goals, wanting more is not bad, it is bad if you hurt someone to get it, it is good if to get it you generate some benefit for someone else, working, creating something that will benefit society or generate some progress for it.

It is useless to try to fight against greed, if you are offered two jobs with exactly the same conditions, except for the pay, you will choose the one that pays you the best, in the case of steemit, you can post on other blogs, however steemit has the incentive to pay you for it, therefore it is a better option to make your time and your investment worthwhile. To want more is never too much, to be greedy is something inevitable and it is something that is not bad or good, always depends on actions.

In short, desire is not inherently bad, if we all worked hard enough to meet our needs alone there would be no progress... Or failing that, a very slow one. The desire for money, power, food or sex is not a bad thing... Neither is anything good, they are simply desires whose morality will be defined depending on the actions taken to obtain them, it is as simple as that. We must support and develop a good and positive greed where to win and get where we want to go we have to benefit society in one way or another, but that thought that "every form of greed is bad", that is something the churches say... And the world has proven them wrong. Thanks for reading, peace.
