My wife Nikki @maskedblogger and I had some friends over for lunch. We decided to try cooking a Japanese style cuisine. 

Some of the dishes we made were spring rolls:

Spring rolls are really cool because the rice paper turns translucent, so you can see the items inside.

We also made sushi, which I thought would be quite difficult, but was actually relatively easy.

We filled them with pickled daikon, cucumber, avocado, carrot and watercress and we dipped them in wasabi and tamari.
