0.000 HBDThe atmosphere is still acting as resistance slowing down the thrown ball, also there's gravity which is also acting as resistance. The wall in the above image, you can replace it with ball, ground, earths atmosphere, etc. which will be your resistance in order for opposite reaction to take place.
