 After heading out to my location today, I didn't even get the camera out, as where I was, it was raining and rather windy, so I headed back home. My location was only about 4 miles from home and you can even see it from my bedroom window, sadly, the weather let me down again. My initial idea was to experiment with long exposures and time lapse photography around some wind turbines. Anyhow, I headed home, popped in the garden and noticed the moon was out. So got the camera out, and my Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary lens, I could see planes flying close to the path of the moon and thought I'd try and get a shot.  Initially I saw this emirates plane flying over, so fired off a couple of test shots on this one, I was really surprised as to how good this came out, and love the red on the plane that breaks up the blue sky nicely. As I shot this, I looked at the moon and saw a plane approaching fast, and it was in the ideal spot I wanted. Fired a few more shots off as it approached and got the one that I wanted. As it was handheld, I was hoping that it was in focus, thankfully it was. So really happy with these shots.  The above shot is the same as the original one, but processed into a black and white image and a filters applied, I really like this one too. Equipment used: Sony A7iii (used in silent shutter mode), Sigma MC-11 Adaptor with the Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary lens. Picture stats: Both images shot at the same settings, 600mm, ISO 500, F/6.3 at 1/2500 sec. Processed using Lightroom CC, Topaz Denoise AI. All the best :-)
