 ##### <center>Somewhat similar to Emerald Lake in Banff National Park, this lake also has a gorgeous Emerald colour to the water. It was really a wow kind of experience. Gorgeous weather, gorgeous water, gorgeous day of hiking it was. This particular lake is located in the east Kootenay area of British Columbia. The more I get out to this part of the Canadian Rockies, the more I love it. I may just have to move out here permanently at some point. One other attractive thing about this area is the lack of crowds and tourists — right up my alley! The national parks are fantastic, minus the crowds though that can take away from your overall experience.
