Well, I was busy at the time and told him I would mow his lawn before dark. So I spent time with the family, but around 5pm I did mow his lawn. Of course I only have one mower and it is my prized 40 year old mower. Yes it still runs pretty good, thanks to the old man who is a master mechanic in small engines. Last thing he did for my 40 year old mower was to grind both the intake and outtake valves. You see I had a hard time starting the mower then the old man came to my house and after a while we found he needed to grind those valves and after he did that it started up very fast. So back to the odd job, as I was mowing the neighbors front yard he handed me $15 from one of his windows. Which is always great, cause I could always use an extra $15. I did go over his lawn first checking for big weeds that I can hack down with my broken hoe. Yes, I do have some old tools and my hoe's handle broke awhile back, but I just hold it by the metal that would hold the handle and use it as a really small hoe. It still works for me. I also pick up the twigs that fall from the tree. The mowing part is always easy for me. So the 40 year old mower is earning it's keep again. If you enjoyed this blog please upvote and follow.
