My fig tree is showing the beginnings of leaves and fruit.  That is interesting leaves and fruit.

So the warmth of the sun signals the tree, then the beginnings of leaves and fruit appear.

I do remember Jesus cursing a fig tree cause he only found leaves, but no fruit?

As it is written, And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. Matthew 21:19.

I have lived in my home for 28 years now. My fig tree was already established before I first moved in. So I don't know how old my fig tree is.

Jesus did give a good lesson about fruit.

We are also like trees. As it is written, And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:3.

So what fruit will Jesus be looking for in us?

As it is written, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23.

So let us delight in the law of the LORD and meditate on it day and night for it is written, But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Psalm 1:2.

Then will we be like the tree planted by the rivers of water.
