Pain - Is it a Privilege?
<div class="text-justify">

In the beginning, they all whispered,the light was shunned, and the darkness embraced.

The words they were uttering never seemed to fade or falter as if they had told this story many times. It was as if it was carved into their minds, enclosed in their memories, and hidden in their broken depths.

In the beginning, pain was a privilege because it was a gift to have the freedom to feel it, and the audacity to endulge in it. To feel pain you must first draw blood, shed tears, and wound your soul. The privilege that came with being able to understand pain was one that was granted to those who seemed to have held it in, who have silenced the voices and the anger to earn their righteous place amongst the fallen because if not earned with bravery, pain was a sin.

And as they continued, I sat, wide eyed, infront of their frail bodies and their pale faces, I sat and listened as if the words would be the end of me, I let it all in, hanging to every word that left their dry lips and let it fall into place in the gaps that inplaced my mind, and I let the words inhibit me. They tasted bitter sweet, they felt like truth.

If pain was a privilege, why does it break ones heart? They ask, Why does it dissolve ones humanity? Why does it destroy ones will?

##### Only silence.

But if your heart does not break, is it really a heart? If your humanity wasn't to be dissolved, do you reckon you would know what humanity meant? If your will was never to be destroyed, how would you know how long it would withstand, how strong your mind and soul were?

Yes pain comes with all these evils, but what to portrays it as evil? Pain is a stage of living, you experience it, even if you are told not to. In the beginning pain was a privilege, now pain has become a way of life.

Pain is in the earth we inhabit, and it's in the beginning of it all. Without pain, how would we flourish? How would we learn to know the difference between loosing a freind and loosing an acquaintance? How would we learn the difference from loosing our innocence and loosing our hair?

It's all really as simple as that. In most ways, pain is still a privilege, but it's granted to everyone in many ways. We all feel united by the pain we share, that's why we mourn together, and weep together.

Pain is a universal catalyst, bringing forth happiness and sadness and teaching us the many ways they differ. We live in a world where pain is peoples default. A world where we don't feel it, but rather live in it. A world where we do not flay in it, but rather nourish in it.

Do not be mistaken by the foolishness of the people around you, do not blemish in the idea of pain, fear it, it leads to your death. However, do not shun it, it makes death easier to withstand.
