This is Rex cinema. Source of the above picture are from http://www[dot]nas.gov.sg/archivesonline/watermark/picas_data/tn_pcd/19980005927-8106-3181-8379/img0099.jpg My family have a hard copy at our Ipoh old house, my father still keeping it. Taken this during my grandma funeral back in July, suddenly my cousin in China(yes, citizens of PRC) ask if the building still exist, and I dug up these photo and thought of share with you guys. I'm not a photographer. The only best camera I had was my phone. I enjoyed snapping photo, but I know very little to nil about how to set. I only know what I wanted, have a picture in my mind. When I take a photo, I try to get the photo as close to what I've imagined in my mind. Ofcourse, sometimes it's almost impossible when low light. At times I will try to trick the camera(phone) focus by pointing at dark place so it increase brightness, then I quickly point to the object I wanted to capture and hit the "shutter" button. The problem is, very hard to catch a sharp picture. Sometimes the focus is wrong, or shakey hand, photo become gibberish. This was taken at Bukit Mertajam during St.Anne feast. The old cathedral looks ultra awesome. The only thing I'm disagreeing is, why in the hell they put the cross lite up in plasma blue LED. Can't brain. This was also taken during St.Anne feast in Bkt Mertajam. This is what exactly I meant on low light trying to trick the camera exposure. If I put focus on the plasma blue cross, then the whole building will turn dark and left eh cross glowing sharply. If I put focus on purple sun set ray, the whole building including the cross will be gone. So, the best way is point the phone higher to the darker cloud. Set focus there and quickly point back down to the subject and snap a photo. In this case, I "fired" up too quickly before the focus settle on the building. This was easy. A jet just breakthrough the sky pre sun rise. The trail reflecting sun ray in red, so happened I parked my car and saw this SWORD being lite up . Point the phone there, touch the screen to focus on the jet trail sword. Set timer to 3 seconds (so I don't need to touch the screen to snap this to avoid shaky hand). Last but not least, finally I learn why people like to put a huge ass spoiler behind their car acted like they're going to participate in the coming season of grand touring car championship. They don't have enough space at their flat, so they had to use their car as an extra balcony for them to hang their laundry. Too bad I stay on 4th floor, will be a big hassle for me to carry laundry up and down to hang on my mobile balcony, otherwise sure I will put a hanger valet at my car for the convenient of hang laundry.
