Walk with me in Wintery Halifax
The sun came out in Halifax on Friday, January 4th, and it actually felt warm on my face as I was walking home to Dartmouth through Downtown Halifax. I stopped by the mostly deserted boardwalk to take a few snaps of the "Volunteer" and "Emigrant" sculptures near the Farmers Market.

This chilly looking sculpture, is dedicated to the WW II women volunteers. You can read more about this sculpture's history at https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/monument-women-second-world-war-volunteer-entertainment-1.4403499

Next to The Volunteers is the bronze sculpture "The Emmigrant" that was erected in memory of the thousands who entered Canada through the Pier 21 Immigration Depot. https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/pier-21

After taking a break to snap these pictures, I continued on my way to the ferry along a mostly deserted (and really slippery) boardwalk.
