Hi there, Here's a post about a trip I made two days ago around the City of Cognac. Location is more known for fine liquors than underground quarries but you can find a bunch of it in the area. As we mostly do daylight trips now, we left Fontenay-le-Comte early wednesday morning and we drove about 2 hours to reach the spot. Entrance was really surprisingly easy for once :) This is a massive complex of disused quarries. Level 0 is partly flooded (a third I guess) so are lower levels. But, you have 2 other floors above level 0 :) :) We walked everywhere it was possible to go without special equipment. We spent about 6h beneath the surface. Next time, we'll visit it with boots (to do pictures where flooding is minimal) and a flatable boat (to do the 2h cruise). I'm really looking forward to it, we plan on doing that during next summer. Here's a winch whichwas used to carry huge stone blocks from lower(s) level(s). You can see the extraction well, now flooded.
148s 16mm f/4 100 ISO

222s 16mm f/6.3 100 ISO
At the end of the trip, we visited the best underground room of all times!!! Unfortunately for you guys, I swore not to publish any visual content of this pure gem. Lightpainting created in real time, captured to the camera in single photographic frames. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.
**Single exposure Light Art Photography /nolayer /notricks /nophotoshop**
NOTICE : I AM THE OWNER OF ALL THE PHOTOGRAPHIC WORKS I SHOW ON THIS POST AND I HAVE ALL RIGHTS ON IT.
