Questions & Clarifications
Dear Steemians,

The dCommerce team would like to take an opportunity to share with you some details of a few questions we have seen the community express.

**How can dCommerce help Steem if it is not completely open source and wholly run on the Steem Blockchain?**

To start with, answering a question with a question at times causes a bit further reflection. So, does a platform have to be open source and fully running on the Steem Blockchain to benefit the Steem community? We believe the answer is no. We believe that signficant benefits to the Steem community can be realized from for-profit ventures that interface with the Steem Blockchain.

In doing so, dCommerce is directly addressing a massive shortage in not only STEEM but the cryptosphere: Use of Cryotocurrency in actual commerce is still at a scarcity level. For nearly all cryptos, even Bitcoin, exchanged based trading occupies the largest transaction type. For any currency, such state of minimal use in commerce is undesirable nor sustainable. This is why dCommerce's objective is to spark a rally towards the growth of for-profit entrepreneurs to provide communities with a wide portfolio of Crypto spend options.

**Exactly what will be stored on the Steem Blockchain?**
dCommerce is establishing an off-chain platform where buyers and sellers can post products for listing, advertise and transact to trigger a DCC token based reward. It is not an open source project but is designed to interface with the Steem Blockchain through SteemConnect for payments made in STEEM/SBD. Storage of Seller/Buyer reputation scores will be directly on STEEM.

Seller product listings will not be recorded on Steem blockchain. These will be held by a dedicated database off-chain. Instead, the Seller Reputation System (SRS) which is derived by seller rating, feedback score and number of items sold will be recorded onto the Steem blockchain using custom_json. The Global Blacklist API will also be actively utilized.

**How exactly will dCommerce use the delegated SP Pre and Post Launch?**
The objective of raising SP to"fund" the project is an incorrect and uninformed assessment. dCommerce will not be using delegated SP to self upvote for the purpose of generating funds for project use. Upvote of posts of team members will also NOT be made for this purpose. This has never been the team's intention. Pre-launch, upvotes will be given priority to anyone who posts positively regarding dCommerce. Then, remaining votes will be distributed to delegators. Largest upvote recepients will obviously be the largest delegators. To make it inverse or completely even distribution woud not be equitable. **IF team members are also delegators, they too are also eligible for receiving upvotes. Why? This is only fair.**

However, this upvote distribution process will only last for pre-launch. Post launch, ALL delegated SP will be dedicated to fulfilling upvote requests from incoming DCC token spends. Please recall that the DCC tokens can be spent for upvotes and delegated SP will be aimed only to fulfill spend requests. In the event upvotes do remain, these will be deployed in the same manner and hierarchy as pre-launch status.

**dCommerce will NOT use upvotes to "pay" team members...period! We are proud to say that funding for dCommerce is external and will remain external to the SP upvotes.**
