<html> <p>Since my last pack opening for Steemit went well, I decided I'd make this into a semi normal series that I do here on Steemit! This is still fairly new to me, and I'm still trying to find the best set up for lighting this in a decent way and making sure everything looks good, so I might be experimenting a bit with backdrops and different types of lighting for the next few times I post this. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this in someway, as I really would like to continue this since it gives me some breathing room and allows me to get into another type of gaming content that I enjoy besides writing game reviews or editing gameplay! </p> <p>I went back over to the local Gamestop to grab a few of these packs, and originally I was going to get 6 or 7 so I had more chances at pulling something cool for you guys. Sadly, for some inexplicable reason, the Gamestop was basically wiped out of all their Pokemon cards. Why this happened, I do not know. They've always had ample supplies of it for the past year, and even with it being the Holidays I can't believe how tapped out they were. They only had these 5 packs left, so I hurried up and swiped them from the shelf and <del>threw my money into the cashiers face before I had to lay a good old fashioned smackdown on em </del>promptly paid for them so I could get back home and crack these bad boys open. So, lets see what we got wit hour first pack! </p> <p><img src="https://i.imgur.com/wMXW5pD.jpg" width="5312" height="2988"/></p> <p>Here's the common cards and the energy we got out of the pack. I'm just curious, does anyone else think Crabrawler in the bottom right corner looks like what an Australian man would look like if he were somehow turned into a crab? Anyways, lets see what our reverse holo and rare was! </p> <p><img src="https://i.imgur.com/QEbB4zo.jpg" width="5312" height="2988"/></p> <p>Oh. Well, then. We got basically jack and shit for this pack as you can see. But, hey! Lycanroc is a pretty cool Pokemon at least, right? I guess we've got that going for us? (Even though his alternate werewolf form is way fucking cooler.) Lets open up our second pack and see what I got. </p> <p><img src="https://i.imgur.com/T2tLDI4.jpg" width="5312" height="2988"/></p> <p>Here are our common cards and energy card out of the pack. Oh, and here's a fun fact (But, not one related to cats, sorry). I'm absolutely obsessed with these weird playdough style cards that they make like the Marill in the bottom left corner. I've started to just have a little side collection of specifically those cards, as I just love the way they look and how much time/effort went into the art design of them in that form. Am I the only one who really likes that art style? Maybe I'm weird and it's just me? Anyways, lets see what the rare and reverse holo were. </p> <p><img src="https://i.imgur.com/0fphkgF.jpg" width="5312" height="2988"/></p> <p>Again, nothing too special here. Got a Raticate who looks like he's been stuffing his face while pretending to be Batman, and a creepy looking octopod that looks like it belongs over in Hollywood. (Get it? Because it looks like it wants to molest people. Good joke. Everybody laugh. Roll on snare drum. Curtains.) But, lets not mull over our lame pulls and lets just move on to pack number 3. </p> <p><img src="https://i.imgur.com/EttPusM.jpg" width="5312" height="2988"/></p> <p>Here are the common cards and energy of the pack, this time with duplicates from the last pack even. Hooray? Lets see what I ended up getting for the rare and reverse of this pack. Will it be something good? Or, will it be something that tears at the very fabric of my soul and make me throw the cards into the garbage bin? Lets find out! </p> <p><img src="https://i.imgur.com/l5ejiYf.jpg" width="5312" height="2988"/></p> <p>Finally! It's about damn time I get a nice pull out of these packs! That's right, got myself a nice Tapu Fini GX card which I'll gladly take. Tapu Fini is one of the 4 guardian spirits from the Pokemon Sun and Moon video games, for anyone who wasn't aware of what it was or where it came from. It's honestly probably one of the more lame legendary Pokemon from the new games, but a GX is a GX and I like the artwork for the card quite a bit, so who am I to complain? Lets bust open our fourth pack and see what I got. </p> <p><img src="https://i.imgur.com/eJcjURL.jpg" width="5312" height="2988"/></p> <p>Here are the common cards of the pack along with the energy card. As far as common cards go, at least this pack gave me one of my favorite Pokemon of all time, Electabuzz. Though, on the other side of things we got that damn rat fish Magikarp again. The less I see of those, the better, seriously. Shiny hunting those was such a pain in the ass in the games, and I can't stomach looking at them anymore. Lets see what the rare and reverse of the pack was. </p> <p><img src="https://i.imgur.com/LxA8KS8.jpg" width="5312" height="2988"/></p> <p>Again, nothing too special here. We got a poisonous frog who looks like he's on the prowl and one of the most lame Pokemon that's been designed to date. I've never been a huge fan of Slowpokes evolutions, as they've always just seemed really weird considering they come from a shell latching onto his tail and then eventually his head. Is it supposed to be a parasitic Pokemon that's mind controlling him or something? All hail the hypno shell? Who knows. All I know is that he better keep that weird ass shit away from me. Lets open up our final pack and pray that we get something good. </p> <p><img src="https://i.imgur.com/FQOIRP1.jpg" width="5312" height="2988"/></p> <p>Here's the common cards and energy card of the pack. We got ourselves another sweet playdough style art card, a big blue ball of spaghetti in the lower right corner and in the left corner we've got the drunken Australian crab again. What more could I possibly ask for out of this pack? Well, quite a bit I guess. So, lets see what the final pack gave us for the rare and reverse holo cards. </p> <p><img src="https://i.imgur.com/Jq7jlma.jpg" width="5312" height="2988"/></p> <p>Oh, hell yeah. Two angry water dragons for the price of one. I'll gladly take it! So, we got a nice holographic Gyarados, which funnily enough I really love even though I hate it's first form (Magikarp), along with a nice reverse holo of Seadra which matches pretty damn well with the rare we've got. I'm sure the odds of that happening aren't too crazy, but it is a pretty interesting coincidence, eh? Anyways there's everything I pulled from the packs. Overall, I can't complain too much. We at least got one GX and a nice holographic, which is better than nothing. I don't think it beats the last post out where we pulled a Charizard GX that was absolutely gorgeous, but I would still call this a success. </p> <p>So, hopefully you enjoyed seeing what I pulled along with me ranting and raving.
