In this video, we go through the process of how to create a Steemit account. This requires verifying your email address and phone number and then being put on a waiting list while Steemit reviews your account (typically takes 24 hours, according to Steemit).

We also touch on why Steemit requires this process. We then discuss the importance of backing up your password, as Steemit is unable to recover passwords in the event that you lose it. After having your account approved, we then show how and where to configure your public profile settings.
