 Up a little before five today. Did the usual stuff in the morning...and then?! As I’m sure you know, the blockchain was hijacked by Tron!!! 😭😢 Steem died at that moment. The question is whether or not it can be revived. I have been using my witness votes to vote active witnesses running the 22.4444 version, these are the witnesses that are protesting the takeover and truly trying to protect the chain. At least I was able to get my post done before the shtf because we were basically locked out by the APIs (another central point of failure - our keys are worthless if we can’t log in!) and couldn’t do much of anything other than try different front ends and Dapps. Nothing really was working and some things (Steemconnect) still are not, but I’ve found some workarounds. Most of the remaining disfunction seems to stem from using an iPhone. Some sites did take the news a little more lightly:  I like how the consensus witnesses are “malicious hackers!” 🤣 I think the best option at the moment is to fork back to the block before 22.5 and run a new chain. However, of course, the ideal situation would be for us to organically get back our witnesses...if you haven’t already, GO VOTE!  Went over and spent several hours on MSP Waves on The Ramble discussing about what happened and how to move forward. As expected, nothing was really decided, but it gave a good idea of where the community stands...divided, lol. Afterward I felt completely drained again and crashed for about an hour before I had to start getting ready to go to work. <hr> For much of the day I was blocked out of Steemmonsters, and once I was able to get back on I just lost a lot.   My quest was Earth splinter, and I finally just gave up and finished the quest in Gold II without a potion. Rewards prove that playing was a waste of life, but I did get one card:  <hr> Not falling quite as fast on Holybread anymore, but still falling. Really starting to get fed up at this point. Might try a potion or two and see if that helps any.  Once again, I was unable to complete my arena task. At this stage, on the rare occasion that I do win, I’m completely surprised.  <hr> In the evening it was back to teaching calculus. We reviewed the first exam (which I did get graded finally) and then covered the introduction to series (second class). Even though I didn’t get a chance to get out today, I got lucky and the Fitbit counted my teaching as an exercise! 😁  <hr> Got my stats for the last week. Being a week off, I was definitely less active than usual.
