 Up wicked early this morning, like four thirty, 😡 but fell asleep early as well and so only ended up about a half hour short…it is adding up a bit now, though, hopefully get a few solid nights to make it up. My goal for today was to get the oil pump off the car and hopefully cleaned up…while I was not able to accomplish that, I made YUGE progress where I’d been stuck for the last fifteen years or so; but more on that in a sec… Did the usual morning routine and was happily surprised to see BTC taking some green candles on volume! 🤑  Altcoins are getting hit, relatively speaking (and HIVE, as expected, is languishing right where it was weeks ago), but hopefully the bullishness will eventually spill over. Got my post done and then wasn’t quite feeling motivated…decided to play a little Oculus. Played through some more of the zombie shooter I started playing yesterday, made a little progress but really started feeling tired. I laid down to try and take a nap to catch up some sleep, but watched the new Dave Chappelle comedy special. Was alright, had a few good chuckles, don’t see why cancel culture wants so badly to hate him. 🤷 more or less ruins it for the rest of us…he won’t be doing any more specials; betting there will be/are plenty others throwing in the towel because it just isn’t worth fighting screaming snowflakes…sometimes jokes are *meant* to be offensive, they’re still just jokes. Anyway, got up having not gotten any sleep and figured I’d best try and achieve the goal I’d set for myself. I tried being a little more forceful with a hammer and a screwdriver, but still was unable to budge the pump. 😢 I finally mustered the courage to try an “easy out” on the frozen bolt holding the distributor in place…it did not out and was not easy. It ended up just drilling a hole through it. Figured in for a penny, in for a pound, so I drilled it out as much as I could. I really have no idea how to get the rest of that out of there, should have broken and/or peeled out, but it is just fused in there:  I did get the material thin enough that I could hammer the distributor out (bonus! The head popped loose as well - just need something to pull it straight up, but it’s not stuck! 🤩). I did do a little damage to the distributor cam, but I think it’s still salvageable…hoping the only part I need to replace is the casing which was broken anyway:  Been a long time coming, but it’s finally out! Oil pump is still stuck in there, but I shot some penetrating oil in and left it sit to hopefully help break it loose.  Bit of crud in and around the distributor fitting, but should clean up alright:  The gear that drives the pump looks dry, but alright from what I can see:  I’d gotten this fairly clean in place, but the back was still cruddy.  Got the pump drive cleaned up and spinning smooth:  Got the timing gear inspection panel off. Again, looks dry, but ok from what I can see…seems like there should have been a gasket in there to prevent oil from leaking out there, will have to double check, no gasket material there that I found.  Came in pretty well covered in oil, so grabbed a shower and Wenche made us burgers and tater tots for dinner and we watched some Cougar Town until bedtime. <hr> Twelve out of four-hundred SIM simply wasn’t shitty enough for dShitty, needed to have a Bank robbery as well, just for that extra shit on top of the shit, why not?!   <hr> Wow, now that I think about it, I think there’s still a brew sitting there waiting for me to collect. 😲 Completely forgot about it until just now. <hr> Went in and looked into the special Halloween mission…stupid, have to have a specific card to do it and it was like 40k+, never mind that nonsense! I did go in and find a few more reasonably priced people to add to the collection, but getting bored with it, really.  <hr> I was very tempted to play Splinterlands today, but the first day after the reset is as bad or worse than the last day, so I didn’t play.
