It was actually Martin Armstrong. Around the end of 2019 his computer, Socrates, forecast sudden mass unemployment coming in early 2020 and Martin advised leaving the city and finding somewhere you could be as self-sufficient as possible. So we did.

I *do* love living here but I've no idea how we'll manage once CBDCs come along. I have no intention of signing up for a digital ID, no intention at all, so we'll be excluded from the financial system entirely with no off ramps for our crypto. We're thinking of heading to South America, perhaps Nicaragua.
