# I tend to leave nothing to chance. #

*Having seen all the horror stories online about exchanges getting hacked for millions of coins, I decided to get a dedicated small wallet, that I could literally fit in my jeans pocket.*
**Enter the nano S by ledger.**

>This was before I invested in a single crypto last year.  I had my own bank/wallet to leave nothing online in any exchange.

*You get the nano S and a usb cable. A couple of bits of useless string. No manual as it is all online and easy to find.*

*Operating it is simple enough, you put in a 8 digit password, and set it up with 30 keywords for recovery, you get a piece of cardboard to write the 30 keywords on that fits nicely back into the original box.*

*The coins it supports gets larger by the month, and you can delete or add sub folders for them easily enough.*

*For me I keep ripple xrp on it, some btc, and some dogecoin. I have also bought some lite-doge and miota that I keep on a separate 1tb hdd.*

I was lucky enough to have bought all my coins last year, so I am still 100's of % up even after the mini collapse.

I am only putting this post up, to show there are easy ways and quite cheap, to protect your investments and get the keys to your coins in your own wallet. What could be safer than you being the bank manager? and you never charge you anything.
