Spring is one of my favorite times of the year — it's when I usually get started with photography again.

"Why not in winter?" you might be wondering.

Well, for the most part because I tend to be at work during daylight hours in winter; our days here in the Pacific Northwest are pretty short during November-February.

FEATURED HERE: a branch of a forsythia bush in bloom, against the dark backdrop of evergreens, spotted during my morning walk a couple days ago. 

Using the @steepshot front end for the first time, and just having a look at how that works, as an alternative to Steemit.

One of the things I already like about it is that is not entirely a "short post" format.

In fact, for MOST people, the 2048 character limit means you have about 300-400 words... and that's already "more post" than 90% of what hits the "New" feed on Steemit.

Doesn't look like you can format text, though. But again, only a minority would care about that.
