An 8 foot long mast can be extended from the remote-controlled crawler robot, with a camera mounted at its head end. The *zippermast* consists of three interlocked steel bands which function according to the zipper principle. This unique construction provides a reliable retraction and extension. Due to the compact size of the robot it is possible to get under cars, but it is still big enough to see over walls.
