The lighter the better. I prefer earpods for one reason. One is how comfortable it is to use, especially how I can even tend to forget it apart from the music playing in my ears to remind me. I use it to listen to music during my jogs or maybe at the gym (if I do bother to go there anyday out of boredom).

However, it is not limited to earpods for me. I used to have headphones. I used it when I was on my laptop, especially to watch movies. I hung it on a hanger I hit at the wall just for that purpose. Unfortunately it got destroyed by yours truly in an accident. I remember trying to do my early morning run with it. I only tried it once. While the bass was just what I needed, it became uncomfortable as I began to sweat. It was also heavy. I never made that mistake again. I had an earpiece then, before I started to buy earpods. So, I would use the earpiece to run.

When I lost the headphones, I started using earphones with my laptop. I like to work with music, so I plug it to my laptop and play from YouTube Music while I do so. If Mom isn’t home and NEPA graces us with light, I connect to the theatre. I like to join the live pomodoro stream from the Lofi Girl channel on YouTube. This is where I go when I have very serious things to work on. There is a five minute break every twenty-five minutes and then a fifteen-minute break after that to give me time to do other things like eat and/or shower.

But when it comes to playing with designs on Canva, I like the excitement. I switch to my earpods or just play from my home theatre because I tend to move and shake my body while playing with colours, backgrounds and sizes. I have lost earphones because I moved too fast and cut them or one ear just lost the ability to produce sound. Hence, I use earpods. That way I can nod and even get up and dance if I need to. I have a playlist for everything.

Also for chores. If there is light, I use the home theatre. If not, I just make do with my phone because it has a pretty amazing speaker. My cousin thought I was playing from a music box once, until she saw it was my phone. That is pretty much how it is for me with music and earphones. There isn’t one way for me. It changes depending on the situation.
