# <center>2022 has been a wild ride</center>

Wow, we have just a few more hours of 2022 where I am at and it has been a pretty crazy year. My little family has been through the ringer this year, but we have come out on top and swingin. My wife and I have been focusing so much on growth this past year and it has been amazing for us.

Last night, my wife and I went to my favorite Japanese BBQ place for dinner and we have been fasting ever since. Health is super important to us now and we want to do as much as we can to live a long life and be there for our grandkids and great grandkids in the future. With the cancer scare that we went through earlier in the year, it really opened our eyes to the fact that we are getting older and we really need to make some changes in our lives.

We recently watched a show on Disney+ called Limitless and it changed how we view our future and has really helped to give us some insight on things that we can do each day to live a longer and healthier life. We have had our Tonal for over a year now and that has really helped to shift our focus onto our health.

Intermittent fasting is one of the things that we want to incorporate more into our routine. Our bodies are overfed and fasting is one way that we can give our bodies a break from constantly working on breaking down the foods we eat. During the fast, it allows our bodies a break to go into a repair mode to clean up all the shit we have been pushing though it. 

Another thing we have implemented into our routine is cold showers. We started with 30 seconds of freezing cold water at the end of our showers. During this time, the cold kind of resets our fight or flight instincts and gives our bodies a rush of endorphins. I have worked up to a full minute of freezing cold water so far and after doing it, it feels pretty amazing. I want to incorporate full ice baths in the near future and try to do them a couple times a month.

I hope you all have an awesome New Year's. What are some of the things you want to do over this next year? For my family and I we are focusing on health and growth. We will be doing more meditations and yoga along with our strength training. Stay safe everyone.
