# <center>Meeting up with the one and only @stnwllstrtgc</center>

During the last few days of my trip I was able to have some free time and see the sites around the Washington DC area. I also had an opportunity to meet a fellow veteran and steemian named @stnwllstrtgc or Tyler.

Tyler and I had been trying to schedule a time to meet up over the past few days prior, but our schedules kept conflicting, but yesterday we both had a few hours so we met up outside of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

After we met up, we walked around the city a little and he showed me where all the good food trucks are and we got some gyros for lunch. We spoke about our plans with Steem and how we think it is really undervalued for all it can do. It  was nice to talk to someone that understands the utility of Steem and the potential of this platform. I have been trying to get the other photographers in my group to sign up, but they don't seem to grasp the big picture yet.

After we finished eating we went into the National Aerospace Museum and checked out all of the planes and shuttles.

There was one stupid looking airplane that had a normal prop engine system, but it also had a set of helicopter blades on the top that were just mounted there but didn't have a driveshaft to power them or anything. I am guessing that it would just help in slowing the descent of the aircraft, but I felt it was one of the dumbest concepts I have ever seen. Probably explains why they only made 3.

After we got done we headed over to one of the art museums that had a lot of naked sculptures everywhere. I was thinking it would be funny to take a series of photos of all of the male statues wieners and write up a post of nothing but the sculpted wieners, but after the second picture I took, I started getting weird looks from people because I was using my phone to take the pictures and you have to get pretty close to the wieners to get the pictures.

All in all @stnwllstrtgc and I had a great time hanging out in DC and causing some shenanigans. I have had an awesome trip and some of my best moments included when I got to meet @basicstoliving and @stnwllstrtgc. The veteran community here on Steemit is awesome.

Thanks for stopping by to read my post even though my pictures were just normal cell phone pictures and this was more of a fun post than the normal ones I post. Right now I am in the Denver, Colorado, airport and I am halfway home. I can't wait to get back home and have time to go through my pictures and work on some awesome posts for everyone. Thanks for all of the support, you are all awesome.
