<liketuimages>             </liketuimages> It is crazy to think that we got Yoshi a month ago. I really had no idea what I was doing when we first got him, but I have learned so much on how to care for a chameleon and now he is twice the size he was when we got him. He is still pretty small and has a ways to grow, but it is so cool to see how great he is doing. One of the things that I think he likes to do is to sit on my hand as I carry him around the house for a few minutes. When I first get him out and do this, he sits pretty still and just observes everything, but then he eventually wants to crawl around and tries to get off my hand. I am too scared to let him crawl on my clothes because I don't want him to fall to the ground and get hurt, so I just put him up after a few minutes. He has been a lot more active lately than he was when I first got him and he explores all over his enclosure. I brought him out and let him crawl on the lower branches of my cannabis plant. I didn't let him crawl onto any of the buds because I don't know if he would have a reaction to the trichomes or anything since one of the purposes of trichomes is to keep pests away. Once he got close to the buds, he stopped and just sniffed around through his little nose holes, so I think he could smell that they were something he shouldn't crawl around on. I think that Yoshi does like going out on adventures, but once he gets back in his cage, he likes to rest on his leaves and just observe things again. Having a chameleon was always something I would dream about when I was a child, so it is cool to have one of these fascinating little creatures as a pet now. They look like miniature dinosaurs up close. They even have little claws that remind me of a sloth or koala.
