# <center>Here we go again! Day “3” of the summer song challenge.</center> ## <center>On the menu today... </center> <center></center> ### <center>How appropriate, since we are in fact (at least in the northern hemisphere) smack dab in the middle of summer. 🌞</center> <hr> # <center>*I Wanna Sex You Up*</center> <center>Color Me Badd</center> # <center>😂 🤣 😂 😁 😂 🤣 😂</center> https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kO6BtpIzIiM ##### Oh this song... 😄 *I Wanna Sex You Up* was released March 1991 and was the first single from the band’s debut album. (Side note, did you know Color Me Badd still tours?!!! How is this even possible?). The song made it to number 2 💩 on the Billboard Hot 100 and appeared on the soundtrack of *New Jack City*, a film starring Wesley Snipes and Ice-T. (The 1990’s are strong in this post.) # <center>But why does this remind me of summer?</center> ##### The summer of 1991 was right in between my Junior and Senior years of high school. I had just turned 17 years old. Somehow my friend’s little sister (who was 14) had signed up to attend a coral reef ecology and marine biology camp in HAWAII that would take place over two weeks that summer. The camp was run by the science department of a rival high school. They didn’t have enough kids enrolled to attend. So a group of us signed up! Why not? 😄 🏝 🐠  *Everyone off to Hawaii in their Hard Rock Cafe t-shirts.* 😄 ## <center>This was my first trip without my parents!</center> ##### We flew to Maui and stayed in cabins just outside of Lahaina. There were maybe 15 kids age 14-18 on the trip and six adult chaperones. Everyday we snorkeled or hiked. A local naturalist would teach us about the different fish we saw. # <center>OH! And *I Wanna Sex You Up* was on the radio multiple times a day, EVERY. SINGLE. DAY... </center>  *Despite the trip’s soundtrack, no sexing up occurred on the trip. Though I did have a crush on the shirtless 16 year old far right. #cougarbeforecougarswereathing. PS - Still in touch with the four in the center and the shirtless one!* 😄  *A visor?.....* 😳 ##### Oddly Color Me Badd are in breaking news TODAY! Apparently the lead singer was trashed at a show on Sunday. While on stage he shoved a fellow band member causing the other guy to fall onto the floor.
