What if you are dying now?
Death..

This is an uncomfortable subject to talk about. The reality is no matter how we want to avoid it, you soon have to face it within your family, your close friends, people you are acquainted with or perhaps even you. It is not a question of if but rather when.

Are you afraid of death?

This was the question raise during a homily by the parish priest. Isn't that a depressing subject to ponder on a weekend where people are getting up to party or family looking for a fun weekend. After much serious thought on it. I feel it's a good topic to ponder despite its negative connotation. And i will express my view point later.

Is death the end of things? Some would like to believe the after life , depending on your religious beliefs. While some in reincarnation and others have no clue at all. I am not here to discuss what is the truth, I am more concern in the discussion on your decision made when your are still alive.

What's your meaning in life?

What if you were told that you had 4th stage cancer. Doctor gave you1-6 months to live?

What would you do?

Will you cry?

Will you start praying fevernly for a cure?

How would you prepare for your death if you knew you have reached the no return zone?

Do you use your mental and will power to continue fighting the disease?

Would you go for the holiday you have put on hold all this while, tomorrow?

Would you go and make peace with people whom you have wronged?

Would you go and settle all your debts?

Would you complete your personal project?

How would you write your last words to the world?

Are you going to leave behind any unfulfilled wishes that you want your closest of friends to fulfill it?

What would be your last wishes?

Would you directly expediate your attention towards completing your bucket list?

So many questions, yet it is good to put some serious thought to it before the time comes. On of the very interesting paradigm shift I have experience is when I learn this power lesson from Dr. Steven Covey. He said:-

“Begin with the end in mind” Dr. Steven Covey

Yes, to live life to the fullest, you must know where you are going. At least you won’t be drifting through life without any direction. When I attend any funeral, it always bring me back to the realisation that life is short and full of uncertainty. So, its better to know where you are heading rather than leaving it to chance. Hope these post gives you some thought about finding your true purpose in life.
