Steemit ettique, mistake learned here!!

Heeeeeey Everybody

So I learned a valuable lesson just now, and I hope the fact that I can admit it on here, helps a little. I have read the Steemit ettique which can be found https://steemit.com/steemit/@thecryptofiend/the-complete-steemit-etiquette-guide-revision-2-01 and a huge thanks to @thecryptofiend for this valuable read by the way, and have discovered a mistake I have made. I have read the post before, multiple times actually, however I missed things as my excitement for this platform and my excitement to help took over. It says that you shouldnt use $$ to hook onto peeps or for attention, and I clearly did... I posted a competition (or 2) in which I stated I would give away Steem $ to people who were willing to help another fellow follower. Now I will still hold true to the fact I posted something in which people would get rewarded, and I will honour that because I think its only fair, and I mean, hopefully at the end of the day, someone can help someone else a little... So, I was using my wallet for attention, and I now see that certain people, or groups of may frown on that, and I dont want that, I want to succeed with this platform, and one day see all my family and friends on it :D

Let this be a lesson to someone who wants to rise up in Steemit, I mean at the end of the day, it **IS** only a guidline, **NOT** a rule, however... its affected someone enough to post about it, so I will heed the warning!

Cheers and happy STEEMING
