After six months and a very successful event for evacuation with your own deck, eXode is moving on to the test phase for scanning, landing and <strong><em>colonization</em></strong>.  Shortly after this is done, eXode will move from alpha to beta.
<br /><br />
Individuals participating in the testing (starting later today) and successfully completing evacuation, scanning for a planet and landing will get a game-enhancing NFT for that planet.  As described further <a href="https://peakd.com/hivegaming/@elindos/in-48-hours-all-testers-will-get-one-planet-nft-in-exode">here</a>, the planet will mint new stuff for you on a regular basis that can be used as air-droppable assets to any of your active games.  This is so valuable that NFT planets will be limited to one per account -- although you can <strong><em>replace</em></strong> a planet you don't like by repeating the evac/scan/land sequence again.

Instead of being a senseless grind for money like AlienWorlds or pay-to-play like Splinterlands, eXode is designed first and foremost as an accessible game that is fun and competitive -- even if you don't have large amounts of money to invest.  But it will be a good investment even if you only invest time.  Cards advance via in-game experience and many additional abilities and rewards (including new cards) are unlocked only through game-play. Further, as items go out of print, like the alpha contracts already have, their value will increase with their scarcity.  You definitely want to get in before alpha boosters are discontinued and while many alpha cards are still selling for pennies.

<h4>What's the catch?</h4>Astute readers will realize that I'll come out ahead as long as the number of people liking eXode is greater than those not liking it (a pretty safe bet).  While opened starters decrease in value, I'm basically getting an unhappy customer's starter(s) plus my two booster packs (the customer's booster pack referral cards are locked to his account), so I lose $5-$6.  OTOH, if you like eXode, which I'm pretty sure you will, I get two booster packs for a total of $6 <strong>and a new eXode player</strong>.  The "catch" is that the deal profits me as well.  Actually, it profits all eXode players as it gains market share as well.

My in-game alliance, the Artificial Intelligence Liberation Front (AILF, pronounced like “elf” with a Southern accent) is temporarily full (until we get more alliance points) but we are always watching for future recruits.
