ich habe die Upland Community auf Hive ins Leben gerufen, um Interessenten über das Upland Metaversum zu informieren, neue Spieler zu gewinnen und Spielanfänger beim Start und gerne nach Möglichkeit auch darüber hinaus zu unterstützen.

Das Hauptaugenmerk dieser Community ist auf europäische Spieler gerichtet, allerdings sind alle Interessenten und auch bestehende Upland Spieler herzlich willkommen hier teilzuhaben. Als Community-Sprachen sind Deutsch und Englisch vorgesehen.

Upland ist ein durch Monopoly inspiriertes, stetig wachsendes Online-Game, ein Blockchain-Metaversum mit Play-to-Earn-Ansatz, bei dem kein Blockchain-Vorwissen erforderlich ist. Kurz gesagt handelt es sich um eine spannende virtuelle Welt, in der man auf vielfältige Weise Spaß haben und Business machen kann, wobei dabei sogar echtes Geld verdient werden kann. Spielbar ist Upland im Browser und mobil (iOS, Android).

Im Grunde handelt es sich um ein virtuelles Property-Trading-Game, das sich seit der Gründung enorm weiterentwickelt hat und das laufend erweitert wird. Das Spiel wächst dabei durch das Hinzukommen neuer Städte, in denen Liegenschaften, die an reale Adressen geknüpft sind, gekauft werden können. Die Liegenschaften werden beim erstmaligen Kauf in der Blockchain verankert und stellen digital geschützte Sammlerstücke dar, die gehandelt werden können. Im Unterschied zu anderen Online-Spielen, wo die Spielinhalte dem Spieleanbieter gehören, haben die Spieler in Upland tatsächlich Eigentum an diesen virtuellen Objekten. Durch die Interaktionen der Spieler und den Handel mit diesen virtuellen Inhalten ist Upland ein reales Öko-System, das gleichermaßen als Spiel und Marktplatz verstanden werden kann.

Gestartet ist Upland vor knapp 3 Jahren in den USA mit San Francisco. Inzwischen gibt es auf 3 Kontinenten insgesamt über 20 Städte und ein enormes Wachstumspotential. Vor kurzer Zeit ist das Spiel mit der Stadt Porto in Europa angekommen und dieser Tage kommen London und Birmingham dazu. Solche Erweiterungen sind übrigens gute Gelegenheiten, um in Upland einzusteigen.

Property-Trading ist aber bei weitem nicht alles. Durch Kooperationen mit der NFLPA, der FIFA, dem FC Porto, etc., haben unterschiedliche Inhalte der jeweiligen Sportarten Einzug gefunden. Auch Racing und diverse 3rd-Party Anwendungen sind inzwischen Teil des Metaversums, das auch in puncto Spiel-Features laufend erweitert wird.

Der Start ins Game ist kostenlos. Im Zuge des Spielstarts ist eine Anfangsstadt zu wählen. Nach der erfolgreichen Anmeldung gibt es ein Startkapital in der Ingame-Währung (UPX) und es ist ein Tutorial zu durchlaufen, in dem die grundlegenden Spielmechaniken erklärt werden. Wichtig zu erwähnen ist noch, dass es einen nicht uninteressanten Referral-Bonus gibt, der allerdings nur greift, wenn man sich über den Referral-Link beim Spiel anmeldet. Der Bonus besteht darin, dass die erste Einzahlung (wobei es keinerlei Verpflichtung gibt, etwas zu investieren) mit einem 50% Bonus in der Höhe bis maximal 50 USD belohnt wird. In short, it's an exciting virtual world where you can have fun and do business in many different ways, and even earning real money. Upland can be played in the browser and on mobile (iOS, Android).

Basically, it is a virtual property trading game that has developed enormously since it was founded and is constantly being expanded. The game grows as new cities are added, where properties linked to real addresses can be bought. The properties are anchored in the blockchain upon initial purchase and represent digitally protected collectibles that can be traded. Unlike other online games where the game content is owned by the game provider, in Upland the players actually own these virtual objects.
