Amazon workers say that they are being overworked at their jobs, underpaid, and that they are understaffed. This isn't the first time we have seen Amazon workers protest work standards and now right before Christmas more have gone on strike at 2 Chicago area delivery facilities. 

This is the golden quarter for businesses like Amazon and right before Christmas is one of the busiest times. They are moving fast and trying to get as many packages to their destination as possible before the big day, a shutdown of one or more facilities will have a significant impact. 

### It's reported that the starting pay is $15.80 per hour at the facilities were workers have staged walkouts. 

<center></center>Not only are there complaints over pay but they also say that they are being forced to move too quickly and that this is physically straining. 

They want fair pay for the hard work that they are doing and they are walking out because they don't think they are getting it yet. 

Previously we saw Amazon workers in Alabama look to unionize but that effort failed, however they will be getting another chance at a vote on the matter. 

It's been frequently suggested that Amazon allegedly overworks its people, with reports detailing alleged unsafe and grueling work conditions.

There have been numerous strikes and protests over the years as workers have struggled to achieve their goals of seeking things like better pay and working conditions. 

We have seen strikes around Prime shopping day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Christmas too. 

Despite their position in the market today there are many criticisms that come with it. Amazon has been able to previously top the list of *some of the most hated tech companies in the world*, joining the ranks of Facebook, and others.
