Some cannabis dispensaries have been able to operate as usual [because they have been](https://www.rgj.com/story/news/marijuana/2020/04/30/sisolak-allows-marijuana-curbside-pickup-nevada-starting-may-1/3058686001/) deemed an essential business during lockdown time. But for others they have had to temporarily close their doors. 

Now, starting May 1st cannabis dispensaries around [Las Vegas will be able](https://news3lv.com/news/local/cannabis-industry-leaders-confident-new-curbside-pickup-will-help-business-rebound) to start offering curbside pickup after the restrictions on their businesses have been recently changed. 


A variety of cannabis businesses have also been forced to develop their own devliery network too, so that they can handle their deliveries in-house rather than opting for a third party delivery service. There are third-party delivery services out there as well though. The delivery aspect has obviously helped to keep those businesses operational and helped to continue to get that medicine to people who need it.

Dispensary owners have insisted that they are eager to follow the rules and open for more business, keeping in mind social distancing and other changes that they might need to make. Because of the changes that many have had to make with closing or limiting sales, many dispensaries *are struggling and seeing a lot less business than usual*. They also don't qualify for bailouts like [other popular businesses have in recent](https://news3lv.com/news/local/cannabis-industry-leaders-confident-new-curbside-pickup-will-help-business-rebound) weeks and they will [need to make it or break it on their own](https://news3lv.com/news/local/marijuana-sales-in-nevada-take-a-dive-during-statewide-shutdown). 

# In Vegas alone, there are thousands of people working within the cannabis industry. 
<center></center>They are hoping that this recent change with curbside pickup will help to bring much needed business back to the dispensaries that are desperate for it.
