It is no surprise that there are many fraudulent CBD products on the market today.  There are thousands of items that claim to have a certain amount of CBD in them but upon later investigation you discover have much less or sometimes none at all. 

In one recent test of at least 12 different products which included a CBD trans-dermal patch, gummies, drinks, and bath salts, [KING5 news discovered that several of them were not being honest about what the products contain](https://www.king5.com/article/news/local/cbd-product-testing/281-0072fb85-f21e-48d6-8768-ff8ada4eaa9d). 

At least 5 of the products were far off from advertised promises and *7 of the 12* products that they tested had levels of CBD that was close to, or exactly the same amount that the packaging said was included. 

## One bottle that they tested claimed to have at least 15 mg of CBD but they discovered through third-party investigation that it was around 5 mg of CBD. 

<center></center>The third party testing was conducted by Confidence Analytics and there have been a growing number of third party testing companies spring up in recent years as the need for verifying the claims on packaging for cannabis products and CBD products continues to grow. 

For those who are taking CBD for health purposes it is vital that they know exactly what dose they are getting, so that they can determine what is going to accurately work for them. If they are testing items with varying levels of ingredient then they cannot know what the best approach will be. Trust with those companies supplying these products in the market today is everything and can be deteriorated swiftly once people start to find out the truth and share that information about certain products or companies that might be misrepresenting their products.

There are still many products out there that are mislabeling how much CBD is included in the products, same thing for THC vapes etc. This is the risk you take when you do not grow and make your own. 

For anyone who wants to get to the bottom of what is in the products that they are purchasing there are multiple ways to seek out independent third party testing for those products. You can send a sample away to them and get back information about whether or not you are being lied to about the product.

## Some estimates suspect that the independent cannabis testing market might surpass $2 billion within the next few years.
