Seedo is an Israeli company that has created the first automated cannabis [grow box to hit the market](https://www.forbes.com/sites/daphneewingchow/2019/09/01/combining-artificial-intelligence-with-urban-farming-can-be-a-game-changer-for-developing-countries/#24db8dbcd4b2). It is the very first fully-automated hydroponic  <b>indoor-grow box for cannabis</b> of its kind. 

The commercial unit is estimated to cost around $2,400 and it is supposed to be connected with a smartphone app which will allow you to monitor water levels, lighting, and more.

It's [expected to enable users to be able to grow even](https://www.digitaltrends.com/home/seedo-grow-box-cannabis/) more than they'd be able to grow in their own backyard, yielding more produce. You can grow more than just cannabis, you can also use it to grow flowers, herbs, or vegetable etc, whatever you want.

The design is not much bigger than a mini fridge, and because of that it's sure to appeal to some who want to get started on growing but might not want to put in the time and effort through trial and error to get it just right. It's also great for those who are cramped for space. 

It's already reported that the company has sold at least 3k units, [they've also brought in millions in investment](https://gizmodo.com/a-startup-says-it-can-automate-perfect-weed-even-as-ear-1835454704). Whether someone has tried growing cannabis before or not, it's expected that they might have an easier time if they start out by using one of the grow machines from Seedo.
