We saw Twitter go through a serious transformation in 2022 when many of its staff were let go. Thousands of [employees](https://gizmodo.com/elon-musk-fire-3700-twitter-employees-friday-50-percent-1849736018) were allegedly fired from the company. Not only that but the platform has also been dealing with record breaking traffic too, how is that possible? How do things seem to be functioning still just as efficiently in operating with so many employees gone? It might be surprising to some.

Still the drama isn't over for Twitter yet, there are also a number of folks who decided to leave the platform because they didn't want to stick around and wait to see what Musk had in store for Twitter. Millions of people still did though and in Nov the company appeared to reach an all time high in usage. Has Musk been bad for good for Twitter? It depends on who you ask. Is there no one out there suitable to run the company besides him? There have been several offers so far. Right now at least things have been entertaining while he works to turn the ship around.

Musk has recently suggested that there are some priorities for the company and that perhaps he might be able to purge child exploitation from the platform. If it is possible you might ask yourself why had it not been [done up until now](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H65wBABw1WQ)? That should always be a top priority for these companies to work to keep their platforms safe.

Aside from that there are also a number of companies that reportedly stopped advertising with Twitter, *but with users growing* will they come back or gain new ones? Many suspect it is only a matter of time before things start to get better.
