It is the [2nd round](https://nypost.com/2022/09/19/twilio-announces-11-of-employees-will-lose-jobs-in-anti-racist-layoffs/) of layoffs coming for Twilio and it is expected that they are going to [cut around 17%](https://www.crn.com/news/cloud/twilio-announces-layoffs-ahead-of-q4-earnings-ceo-takes-pay-cut) of their staff. Twilio is a corporate communications company in San Fran who just a few months ago had also made headlines for the staff they were cutting, as we have seen with one company after the other recently. 

This is thousands of jobs over the last few months that has been cut and along with Twilio laying off a number of employees we have also heard the same from companies like Amazon, Twitter, Meta, and others. [Who knows if more might also be coming](https://www.engadget.com/meta-reportedly-plans-to-cut-more-jobs-171716224.html) as well for potential termination.

Some might be surprised by this 2nd go around of layoffs considering just a few months ago they already let go of a number of employees. Other companies might also start doing the same. This is another move impacting hundreds of employees as companies look to boost efficiency in one way or another.

Could this push more into trying entrepreneurship? 
For some who are let go it might be surprising to find that such a day would come and it could be an opportunity to try something else, like going into business for themselves.
