Here are four thoughts to consider for greater purpose and clarity for success here on Steemit:

* We want it and need it.
* We don't need it but want it.
* We don't want it but need it.
* We don't need it and don't want it.

**Success with Steemit:**

**We want and need it.**
Do you want to both succeed here on Steemit as well as needing to?
There's the desire to succeed with anything and if that's backed up by a genuine need then I feel that increases the chances to achieve your goals here.

**We don’t need it but want it.**
Some people have the desire to succeed, they want to succeed perhaps to prove something, or for recognition and just for the joy and satisfaction.

However the monetary reward may be nice but that may not be the driving force to succeed here. For some people it's developing a following and a community of like minded individuals to develop meaningful relationships with.

**We don't want it but need it.**
There are those who may never have considered to join an be a part of such a platform and perhaps may not truly enjoy it, but they can see the opportunity, can see the potential rewards and payouts that they really need.

**We don't need it and don't want it.**
There will be those that soon enough discover that they don't need this platform and realize they don't want to be a part of it ay longer for reasons only they know.

With Steemit only scratching the surface of what is possible compared to Facebook there are  millions of people out there who would really want to be a part of this platform and community and who have a genuine need to get the rewards they may deserve for the value they bring.
