#### Introduction  
Welcome to another post on the top 2019 media dapps.  
This series will look at a lot of dapp platforms. I’ll do my best to mention the functions of these apps and offer my suggestions where necessary.  
On this post, I will write a review on an application popularly known as eSteem.

#### What is eSteem?  
I define eSteem as one of the many steemit front-ends that enable its users to blog, vote and earn on the steem blockchain.  
It is a unique application with many features that make blogging a lot more easy and enjoyable.

#### How to get started?  
eSteem is free for everyone with a steemit account. The user should download and install the application from https://esteem.app/. After a successful installation, the user should launch and sign into the application with the help of steemconnect or the local login method.  
I prefer steemconnect although the local login method appears safer since it stores the login details in the device.

#### Features of eSteem  
Like I side earlier, eSteem is a unique application. I will give you some features below. Hopefully, one feature should be able to push you to try the application.

#### Bookmark  
This feature is a lifesaver. Before discovering eSteem application, I had many issues keeping up with articles I would like to visit again. While going through your feeds, there is a high probability of bumping into an article you would love to read to the end. While reading, something might come up and you can no longer finish the post. When issues like this pop-up, simply bookmark that post to enable you to return to the post at a later time. This feature, if used properly, can really help the user.

#### Currency  
The eSteem application makes it possible for users to change the displayed currency. This means that users can now change the default steemit dollar to their local currencies. The number of currencies supported has increased in the new version of the application.

#### Draft  
Every blogger understands the importance of having a draft. Ideas most time don’t just come complete. We sometimes have to write the few ones that flash through our minds before we forget. Drafts sometimes contain the core ingredient of the post. Having this feature is nice and the users can have where to save their unfinished work.  
This makes it possible for users to access these posts in a faster and more convenient manner. This is one feature that users should take advantage of.

#### Notification  
Notification is an important way to get information on time. The normal Steemit platform does not inform a user when another user mentions him or her in a post or comment. The eSteem application has successfully covered this issue and I can assure users of getting all the latest happenings that concern them in one place. There is an option to activate the push notification.

#### Schedule post  
This feature enables the users to set their post to be published automatically by the system at a later date. This means a user can comfortably schedule articles for a later date. This feature becomes handy where a user has a series of posts to make at a later date but knows there will be no access to the system. To avoid disappointments, the users schedule the post ahead of time.

#### Security  
The eSteem application came along with an additional layer of security to its users. Unlike the Steemit front-end, users of eSteem application can now add a pin code to safeguard their account. It will require this code at the launch of the application.

#### Profile  
The application has a specific ability for users to access and browse through their profile in a convenient and friendly manner.

#### Interface and performance  
The user interface is friendly; It displays the buttons in an orderly and accessible manner.  
The application performs its function well. I am yet to experience any lagging of any sort.

The only disadvantage of this application is the minor bug, although I know the team is doing their best to make it perfect.

#### Conclusion, suggestion, and rating  
Looking at the above features, I can conclude that the application lived up to the expectations of their users. It is an application that is worth checking out.

I think this application will appear better if they could come up with more themes. This will give us a broader option to choose from.

This project is highly commendable and I’ll rate it a 4.5/5.0.
