According to a story published by [Business Review](http://www.business-review.eu/news/bucharest-real-estate-agency-to-start-accepting-payments-in-bitcoin-154809) (which in turn cites [profit.ro](http://profit.ro)), a Bucharest real estate agency will start accepting Bitcoin as a payment method for its apartments.

The agency is called Cityland and one of its partners, Raul Pop, explained:

> “As we have noticed an increase in the number of Romanians who are active on the Bitcoin market, many of whom are also interested in real estate investments, we have decided to offer them the option of comparing their Bitcoin portfolio to the real estate market, and even acquire properties directly using the virtual coin.”

The apartments available for this method will be listed at 4 Bitcoin and the price will be adjusted following the variation of the crypto currency.

Bitcoin is unregulated in Romania, although some voices from the government started to warn about its "speculative" nature.

The interest of Romanians in crypto shouldn't come as a surprise, given the traditional, consistent pool of tech savvy guys produced by the country. Although keeping a low profile, a few Romanians are at the top of the crypto wave, with very interesting projects, like, for instance, [Akasha](http://akasha.world).
