The road extended along her line of vision until it was lost in that eternally moving point of the horizon. It was so full of possibilities that it dressed the idea of going forward with a feeling both scary and beautiful.

That was her life now, with her short twenty-something years filled with more hard life lessons than it should, but finally free to use that knowledge in more positive ways. The tall grass at the side of the road danced with same wind that whispered in her ears that it was better to be alone than badly accompanied.

She urged her horse to keep going, thoughts purposefully shifting constantly, so as to not think in the girl she left behind, but a sudden stop at a crossroad made her remember the warmth of the previous night. “*No, it better this way*” she said, ignoring the piece of wood who served as a “turn signal”, and who pointed back, towards the very cozy in who held her best memories in quite some time.
