FIRST ROUND :  I explained why I was flagging, for trolling and taking away rewards for posts that were not troll comments.. what he could do to correct it. He decided to counter with an I will downvote you back then. Good start.

SECOND ROUND :  went into wheres the rule territory.. Where I countered with a 'there is no rule you can't cut lines in public but you don't go around doing it do you' Generally saying if enough people do it, there will be a rule. that's how we ended up with too many rules in the first place.. People willing to push the boundaries of being a negative impact on the community, therefore creating the necessity of these junk laws, that bring the rest of us down..

ROUND THREE : He starts of with the hit "why the hell do u think i put that much Steem power in? so i can upvote myself maybe huh. If Steem dont let me vote myself up i would not invest in it" .... OOOOUCH.. This is where I decided I could show him the error of his ways, he would walk away happy, and our problem would lessen. I told him that there were other ways to make money on Steemit besides self upvotes. For example, creating content that is worth being created. That may be searched in google and found and enjoyed someday.. And then to upvote comments in the posts he does, making friends and gaining there upvotes. I told him that he could eventually get more upvotes of money than his own self upvote is worth. Crazy thought to be sure.. 
I wasn't done this round I had a flurry of counter punches to throw I went on to tell him about Randowhale, Booster, Whaleshares, and Beyondbit.. Coins and robots that he could use in order to make Steem, while allowing people to promote content they feel is worth it. I told him that doing this would even make him friends maybe. He could be seen as beneficial to the community and therefore liked, becoming the opposite person he is now.. I told him inertia made a post with the robots code. 
I thought this was for sure the knockout counter punch flurry I was hoping for. How could logical hits be brushed off no matter how thick of skull.. Alas I was wrong. He got up and brushed himself off, went to my post, downvoted a bunch of things..

ROUND 4: Sending us into this what I'm calling the final round his punches went as follows (in reference to the inertia robot) "Isn't that the same thing as upvote, you sell your voting power is the same as voting urself up, u get the money at the end."

I was done, I couldnt fight back. It was my last ditch effort before I just leave him to his own devices and worldview. What political affiliation does he prescribe to I wondered. But what I said was in essence is yes it sort of is the same thing, only it would allow others to pay him to promote what they feel is worthy. Things that might be searched in google and bring traffic to the site. Whereas his posts, were nothing but a pat on the back. If there were 100 people spending all their votes to pat themselves on the back like he was. Steem would die and he would be holding sandy bags of self upvotes and salty, salty tears.
