Never before have people had so much information at their fingertips. Through mass communication it is possible to discover almost anything and yet many ignore the obvious signs around them.

 So many nations have gone after the thrill of self-indulgence and the consequences are that families are destroyed through divorce; all boundaries of decency are broken.

 Where there is no faithfulness, no love and no acknowledgement of God in the land, there will be disaster.

 Hosea brings this indictment to the foot of the religious leaders of the day and blames them saying my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

 In the seeming prosperity of many parts of the ,world, this accusation stands true even today. Those Who are charged with teaching the people of'God are often slow to pronounce that those who stand against the clear teaching of scripture stand against God. 

Some will think that if they stand true to the Word of God, they will be seen as judges of others or extremists. But this is not the case. It is not the preacher's job to condemn but to declare‘what God had both done and said.

 The people of the nations are being destroyed from the lack of knowledge of the love of God. Each time the scripture reprimands, it is to bring us to the arms of a loving Father; and not to trample the souls of ‘ burdened mankind. 

Many have rejected God because they do not see Him and this is because Christians fail to show their God.

 The power of God is limited because the church thinks more highly of itself than of its head. 

Then so often the love and salvation of Christ is kept in the inner sanctuary of church meetings and not shared with those outside, the people do not know God. 

We must never hide the blessings God can give from others; for then truly God's peeple will indeed be destroyed by lack of knowledge.
