As much as moderators in the Trollbox on Poloniex try to warn and ban those who hype coins, it still thrives. I myself to not engage in this activity, but i do profit off of it. It may be risky, but the payouts can be fantastic. Yet another example of the affect of hyping a coin happened this weekend with a coin called POT. These screenshots were taken from Poloniex not too long ago.

The troll box was going off with funny puns with the name and just relentlessly hyping the coin until it took off. Everyone knows it will crash at some point, but huge profits were made. I eventually put in a small sum of .01 to see what i could do very late in the game and still managed to double my investment with short trades within 20mins time. Those who had some from a week ago sold at 10x the price it was making quite a bit of money. So, what i guess i'm trying to say is..although researching your coins and following the news is the best and safest method to make money..the trollbox also has power to influence and if you're a risk taker and go for smaller percentage gains rather than moonshots..you can easily come away with quick and easy profit.
