I came across a post  saying manual curation is not important and curating manually does not guarantee whether the post is a quality post or not but the person forget the engagement part.

Manual curation makes you do more on a post, automatic voting doesn’t and the bot help you do the job, the recent hardfork shows how important engagement can be.

Curating Manually makes you feel the pain, passion and the message  the writer is trying to pass across, you can only comment on a post that you have the true understanding about and commenting bring about conversation, understanding and unity.

Curating manually also makes you relate with the community better by also writing a post relating with the community hot topics because you would have gain a lot and give you better understanding on what to write.

Curating  manually also helps in community generating revenue I don’t know much about that but I know that’s in one way or the other when people engage more with the community frontend it’s helps in growth of the community on its revenue.
