What has the newly Democrat controlled house given us in the first 24 hours?

<li>Scratched <a href="https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2019/01/first-female-palestinian-lawmaker-rashida-tlaib-a-democrat-has-map-changed-inside-office-to-eliminate-israel/">Israel off the map</a> and replaced with Palestine</li>
<li>Called for a <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/tv/alexandria-ocasio-cortez-calls-for-super-wealthy-to-be-taxed-70-to-fund-green-new-deal/">60%-70% tax rate</a></lI>
<li>Refused to fund a border security wall</li>
<li>Worked one day and went on break until Tuesday</li>

Though Republican Senator Ted Cruz and Representative Francis Rooney (R-Fla) also introduced an amendment that many people (*myself included*) think is long overdue.  <a href="https://www.infowars.com/ted-cruz-introduces-amendment-to-impose-congressional-term-limits/">Ted Cruz Introduces Amendment to Impose Congressional Term Limits</a>.   The Senators and Representatives have a good salary, yet I think anyone that truly thinks about it knows that they tend to get VERY wealthy far beyond that salary.   Why?  They know which laws are going to happen, or be struck down before it happens.   This makes it very easy to become wealthy investing based around this pre-knowledge.  This is how many of them have become multi-millionaires to the extreme, and some even approaching the billionaire mark.  If you really look into them you find out they SPEAK to retain their jobs, but if they've been there for a long time then generally their actions are nowhere near what they speak about.   Their actions and words differ.  Their words are there just to keep them in office.   Their actions are there to give themselves power, wealth, and to bash down anyone or anything that might threaten their power and wealth.   It is ironic that they often blame the wealthy with their words, while they and many of their supporters are the wealthiest people out there and just continue to get wealthier based upon their actions.   They con society with their words, as many people don't take the time to truly study their actions.

One answer to this would be term limits.   No longer give them a lifetime earning and power machine.  There are many Senators and Representatives who have had their position over 30 years, and some over 40.   Think about that, and now think about the word "establishment".

EDIT: Sadly I don't expect the term limits amendment to pass.  Too many people including the new Speaker of the House are decades over that term limit.
